Dexterous robotics group attends the World Robot Conference
作者: 人工智能学院 日期: 2026/09/29To exchange ideas on frontier advances in robotics, intelligent perception, and human-robot interaction, the Dexterous Robotics Group at the School of Artificial Intelligence (SAI), attended the World Robot Conference Symposium on Advanced Robotics and Automation (WRC SARA) in Beijing from August 19 to 23. Dr. Chen Mingqi, a postdoctoral researcher, and Qiu Silin, an undergraduate student engaged in in-depth exchanges with experts and scholars from home and abroad.

Hosted by the Chinese Institute of Electronics and technically supported by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, the symposium is held annually on-site at the World Robot Conference. At the symposium, Dr. Chen Mingqi and Qiu Silin gave oral presentations titled “Vision-Force ACT: Multimodal Action Chunking for Bimanual Peg-in-Hole Assembly” and “High-Rate Full-Hand Tactile Sensing for Sim-to-Real Recognition and Grasping,” respectively. Their papers were nominated for the Best Conference Paper Finalist Award and the Best Student Paper Finalist Award, respectively. Both papers were supervised by Prof. Li Qiang, marking an important effort by the group in collaborative undergraduate-postgraduate training and in using hands-on research to enhance innovation.
