SAI hosts 1st drone and robot showcase during SZTU 2026 International Week

  From September 20 to 24, more than 50 university professors and corporate executives from Germany, Austria, Singapore, France, the United States and other countries, along with over 60 international students, visited Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) for the 2026 International Week. Crossing mountains and seas, international faculty and students gathered at SZTU in an international event integrating academic exchanges, cultural experience and innovative exploration.

  This year, the School of Artificial Intelligence (SAI) launched its first drone and robot showcase. Chinese and international teachers and students gathered to experience China’s scientific and technological innovation through exciting drone and robot demonstrations.

  On the afternoon of September 22, international teachers and students visited SAI, where a hardcore yet fun drone and robot show attracted everyone’s attention. Swarm drones changed formations in the air, performing a spectacular formation flight. The stair-climbing infantry robot and the fully automatic sentry robot took the stage one after another, demonstrating autonomous patrol and intelligent decision-making. The Unitree G1 humanoid robot danced gracefully, while the Unitree GO1 robot dog walked up to the crowd for interaction. Whole-body teleoperation and DexMan constant-force writing demonstrations intuitively showcased precise force control technology.

  The atmosphere was lively. International teachers and students took out their phones and cameras to capture the robots’ agile moments. They actively approached the robot dog and humanoid robot for interaction, exclaiming in amazement.

  Some visited the Embodied Intelligence and Robotics Innovation Laboratory and other facilities to feel the robots’ fine manipulation capabilities and talk face-to-face with SZTU teachers and students about technical features. Others followed the robots’ movements, discussing and immersing themselves in the unique charm of artificial intelligence and cutting-edge robotics. The entire showcase was technological, entertaining and interactive, allowing visiting teachers and students to “touch” China’s scientific and technological innovation up close.

  SZTU International Week is a signature event for the university’s international talent cultivation. Now in its sixth edition, it serves as an important platform for advancing open education and deepening international exchange. By inviting overseas university professors to campus, the event brings international courses and diverse cultural exchange experiences, allowing teachers and students to experience the charm of international education at home and broaden their global vision through interaction.
