SAI welcomes first international undergraduates
作者: 人工智能学院 日期: 2026/10/08The School of Artificial Intelligence (SAI) at Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) welcomed its first cohort of degree-seeking international students in September 2026. Five full-time international undergraduates have enrolled in four-year bachelor’s degree programs. Four are pursuing SAI’s newly launched English-taught Artificial Intelligence undergraduate program, while one is enrolled in the Chinese-taught Data Science and Technology program. The students come from Malaysia, Costa Rica, Thailand, and Kazakhstan. This intake marks SAI’s first admission of degree-seeking international students.
The new English-taught AI program is also SAI’s first English-taught degree program for international students. It reflects SAI’s commitment to international education and global talent cultivation.

After a month at SZTU, two students shared their thoughts on their studies and campus life.
David, a first-year student from Malaysia, said he feels fortunate to study at SZTU. “When I first came to Shenzhen, I was surprised by this busy and modern city. The best thing is that teachers and students here are very friendly. When I have problems with my studies or daily life, they are ready to help me. Now I am getting used to life in Shenzhen. I plan to use the school’s resources well to learn new things, meet more friends, and take part in school activities.”
Oscar, coming from Costa Rica, described his first weeks as a mix of anxiety and joy. “Starting university felt like standing at the edge of something huge. The campus seemed too big and strange at first, and I was nervous and anxious in those early weeks. But alongside the worry, there was a quiet happiness I couldn’t ignore. As the weeks passed, I met so many students and professors, and I was surprised by how kind they were. Classmates were welcoming and always ready to help, and professors were patient, approachable, and genuinely interested in our progress. Little by little, the university started to feel like home.”

SAI also welcomed 17 exchange students from partner universities including Regensburg University of Applied Sciences, Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences, Landshut University of Applied Sciences, Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University, ESME, National Research University Highers School of Economics, and Tech University of Korea. Their arrival further enriches the international campus environment and promotes cross-cultural communication and academic exchange.
SAI warmly welcomes all new international students and looks forward to supporting their academic and personal growth at SZTU.
